Mecrisp-Stellaris Not Working¶
This page is for those who have flashed a Mecrisp-Stellaris binary image to a chip or board and there is no sign of life at the terminal. Garbled text just means the Baud rate (default = 115200) of your PC software is incorrect. Click here if you get “Stair Stepping” of text.
Note
If you’re using a binary image from the same family, even if the exact part number is not listed in the supported MCU types, chances are very good it is actually working but for one of the possible reasons below.
Possible Causes¶
Possible Cause |
Remedy |
Page |
---|---|---|
Wrong USART |
Try other USART pins on the chip. Test by resetting the MCU and look for the Greeting message |
|
Memory Config |
Having less memory on your chip than the image you’re using can cause a silent crash |
|
Boot Selection |
Is the chip booting from Flash ? |
|
Bad Flash |
Are you telling your flasher to verify the image was burned correctly ? |
